We had an exciting year and have been able to grow our campaign. Some highlights for 2016:
- An expanded social media presence (Instagram, Youtube)
- Dr. Nicole Keith, Advisory Board for National Exercise is Medicine was our EiMOC speaker
- Penn State’s EiM on Campus program has received a silver level recognition from the national EiM on Campus program
- Michigan State University Lap Challenge during EiMOC week (WE WON!)
- Push-Up Challenge, Stair count Challenge, and Yoga on Hub Lawn all featured during EiMOC week
Other noteworthy outcomes:
- Dean Nan Crouter kicked off EiMOC week with the 4th Annual Deans Walk. There were more than 150 participants including faculty and staff from across the college and students, led by Olympic medalist and Kinesiology student, Monica Azkmat
- EiMOC interns presented in more than 20 freshman/1st year seminar classes about EiMOC and the importance of exercise in college
- We had a total of 1,165 participants during EiMOC Week. We experienced our first ever rain-out on Thursday, which dropped participation, but the sun came out Thursday evening for yoga on the HUB lawn
