Women’s Bowling Team Recognized for Academics by NTCA

The 2018-19 Penn State Altoona women’s bowling team was honored for its work in the classroom when the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) released its list of All-Academic Team Award recipients in July.

The NTCA All-Academic Team Award is given to NCAA women’s bowling teams that post a cumulative team grade-point average of 3.2 or higher for the academic school year. The 2018-19 Penn State Altoona women’s bowling team was one of 38 teams nationally to qualify for the award, as the Lady Lions compiled a team GPA of 3.42. The team GPA ranked as the 20th-highest GPA of any women’s bowling program.
