Operation Warp Speed (OWS) became the Countermeasures Acceleration Group (CAG), which transitioned into the HHS Coordination Operations and Response Element (H-CORE), a permanent office within the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR). Dr. Mitchell will share anecdotes of non-medical obstacles he observed during H-CORE’s first year of existence, as H-CORE led the acquisition and distribution of COVID-19 vaccines, therapeutics, and test kits in 2022 in partnership with other entities across ASPR; federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial (FSLTT) health departments; industry partners; and pharmacies.
