One of the biggest threats to the operations of the government and to the public is the occurrence of a pandemic influenza. Despite continuous research and the availability of vaccinations, influenza continues to be a very taboo topic, and so often, influenza planning is pushed to the side. The constant change in the environment and the re-emergence of pathogens have greatly affected the way we look at infectious diseases such as influenza. Additionally, the prevalence of the anti-vaxxer movement has made it difficult to contain and prevent infectious diseases that have been eradicated a long time ago. So how does the government prepare for this type of scenario? How does the government continue to work if half of its employees are unable to or the spread of an infectious diseases is too fast?
