Musculoskeletal Regenerative Engineering

Regenerative Engineering is the interface between biomaterial science, cell and systems biology, and tissue engineering. Our lab seeks to understand the fundamental mechanisms by which biomaterial interfaces alter the proliferation, migration and differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells to guide the design of biomaterial scaffolds and facilitate the generation or regeneration of musculoskeletal tissues. Recent efforts have sought to integrate additive manufacturing/3D printing technologies to precisely control the design of biomaterial scaffolds and interfaces.
