Neural Signal Processing

The goal of this project is to process neural signals to control a robotic hand using machine learning approaches. The neural signals include muscle signals and biomechanical signals. The project will involve programming in Python or MATLAB and/or device control.

A Semiautomatic Prosthetic Hand

This project intends to develop a naturally flexed prosthetic hand, such that individuals with an arm amputation does not need to control their prosthetic hand when an object is held in the hand. The project involves CAD design and 3D printing fabrication for prototypes.

A Miniature Electrical Stimulator

This project intends to develop a battery powered electrical stimulator that can be worn in an arm band by patients who use electrical stimulation as motor assistance. The project will involve circuit simulation and PCB design.
