Understanding Food Insecurity Among College Students
We are conducting observational research to better understand how inconsistent access to food impacts the wellbeing of college students, including testing new ways of measurement, examining substance use outcomes, and using fMRI to look at changes in brain function. Students may assist in participant recruitment, data collection, lit reviews, analyses, and potentially manuscript development.
Youth Mobilizing as Agents of Community Transformation
We are conducting a youth participatory project, educating underserved youth on social determinants of health and then empowering youth to make positive change in their communities as it relates to food and nutrition security. Students may assist in participant recruitment, data collection, lit reviews, intervention delivery, analyses, and potentially manuscript development.
Expanding Nutrition Education to Underserved Communities
We are conducting a needs assessment of underserved counties in Pennsylvania, and will be developing new nutrition education materials to support healthy eating to low-income populations.
