How to increase PASS space

Standard

ISSUE: user has run out of PASS space.  This applies to any classroom or computer lab PC on campus.  The user may have tried to download a file and gotten an error saying the disk was full.

RESOLUTION: by default, all students, faculty, & staff receive 500mb of PASS storage space.  However, everyone is able to increase that limit up to 10GB!  To do so, go to work.psu.edu and log in.  In the middle left you’ll see a section relating to PASS space, with a bar graphic showing your current usage.  If it is at, over, or very close to 100%, it will prevent you from downloading or saving additional files.

To increase your PASS space, click the drop down box below the graph and select an increased storage size.  IT Support generally recommends going straight to the full 10GB limit, as this is a size that few users are likely to fill.  Click “Change” and log out from the web page.  You may need to log out of the PC and log back in for your change to take effect.

NOTES: work.psu.edu has other purposes as well!  This is also the site you use to change your Access Account password before it expires, and to set your security questions!
