Amanda Nelson is currently a student at Penn State World Campus where she is majoring in Human Development and Family Studies. As a leader at Penn State World Campus, she serves as a World Campus Ambassador and as a representative on the HDFS Student Advisory Council. Professionally, Amanda has 19 years of experience in the banking/mortgage industry. She is currently Director of Operations and a licensed Mortgage Loan Originator at a mortgage broker office in Tampa, FL. Amanda is also a published author of Patched Wangs, where she wrote about the baby steps she took to overcome a 17-year drug and alcohol addiction. Amanda dreams of combining the two worlds of addiction recovery and the banking/mortgage industry to help others thrive in life!
