Pallavi Eswara

Pallavi Eswara was the founding staff member of the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs at Penn State, University Park campus in 2007. Since then she has been involved with postdoc professional development. In her current role as Director, she designs programs and curriculum for postdocs to complement and enrich their training experience. Additionally, from 2011 to 2014, Pallavi worked in the Office of Graduate Education Equity. Additionally, from 2011 to 2014, Pallavi worked in the Office of Graduate Educational Equity Programs at Penn State.

Pallavi obtained her master’s in Human Genetics from the University of Michigan and a master’s in biotechnology from the University of Hyderabad, India. She has conducted research in molecular genetics and bioinformatics before joining higher education administration.

Pallavi is currently co-chairing the Professional Development Committee within Graduate Career Consortium. Her past leadership experiences include Chair of the Resource Development Committee at the National Postdoc Association and as a board member of local schools.

A long-time resident of State College, Pallavi Eswara is originally from Hyderabad, India. She has been engaged with community culture and outreach efforts and started a poetry reading group, Connecting Lines. She is an avid listener and reader of stories since a young age. In recent times, she has been finding venues to present her experiences and observations and add to the narrative.
