Dr. Susan Mohammed

For over twenty-five years, Dr. Susan Mohammed has conducted award-winning research and mentored doctor students and undergraduates as a professor of industrial-organizational psychology (the scientific study of working and the workplace) at The Pennsylvania State University. She has over 2.5 million in grants and contracts, over 65 scholarly publications, and over 165 invited talks and refereed presentations at national and international conferences. Susan is a Fellow of the American Psychological Society and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology. She received her bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and her master’s and Ph.D. degrees from Ohio State University.

Rarely found without pen and paper handy to jot down just the right word or phrase, Susan pens poetry, journals extensively and formulates hypotheses for her next research study. As the author of Divine Reversal, her devastating-turned-amazing life story, Susan courageously shares her journey so that others surviving abuse and in need of hope may know that pain doesn’t have to have the final word. Although still a mango- and coconut-loving island girl born and raised in the U.S. Virgin Islands, Susan and her husband are settled in central Pennsylvania. They enjoy traveling together and look forward to an annual trip with their three adult children and granddaughter.
