- Modern GIS (An ArcGIS tutorial Series): Examples and data for teaching GIS, Textbooks and data used in teaching
- Examples of materials used: GIS Fundamentals by Paul Bolstad and Steven Manson; Python scripting for ArcGIS (Esri Press), PostGIS in Action; Articles, portions of textbooks or other materials
- Example activities: Creating local examples that students are familiar with, using PA data sources, such as from PASDA; Final projects based on student choice; Activity using sample scenarios using different applications, such as Esri Field Maps; Annotated Bibliography of GIS topic; Datasets specific to client projects

- Software license request can be made by students directly
- Faculty/Staff can download license from the Penn State Software Store
- Esri Session: Migrating to ArcGIS Pro: “Join this workshop to learn ArcGIS Pro capabilities for data visualization, analysis, and its connection to web GIS. You will also learn how to migrate your content from ArcMap and how to familiarize yourself with the ArcGIS Pro interface, licensing options, and common workflows.”
