This week was a really enjoyable one. I feel redundant saying that I am still writing and working on my research brief, but that is the basic progress of things right now. The progress I have made this week makes me feel like the work is really coming along. We hope to review again this upcoming week and have a pretty good draft outline to present to the rest of our team.
On another end of things, I really enjoyed listening and hearing about the other PSU and UCI student PIRE experiences going on this summer. The conversation was so wonderful, and it felt like a really supportive community of not only researchers, but people. I left the meeting feeling uplifted and motivated to continue my work. It reminded me of why I took this fellowship to begin with; I want to educate and help the wider communities that my research can support.
I can not believe that there is only one official week left in this program. As I reflect back, I am so grateful for this journey and know it is not even close to over yet. I appreciate all that have allowed this PIRE program to not only continue, but to flourish this summer.
