This week, I had no new participants. I was required to make an account with The University of Florida and get trained with their IRB, but I am waiting to hear back. Other than that, I started coding the data for one of my tasks. Although the data coding is somewhat monotonous, it was pretty fun seeing it all come together. I was coding for a picture naming task and will have all that data coded by my next meeting on Thursday. I hope this week I will be able to register my Florida account and gather some more participants through the month of August and beyond. This experience has taught me the the difficulties of recruiting, especially online, and I empathize with professors and students during COVID.

Hey Amanda,
I agree, the coding we are doing is a bit monotonous, but I feel good about getting it done now instead of saving it for later when we are all super busy. I definitely agree about being to empathize more with professors now, using Zoom for tasks where Zoom is not ideal is much more difficult than one would expect. Good luck with the FL account!
