This week was a crazy yet exciting week for my research. I met a very nice girl who I began talking to and getting coffee with. She sent my link and contact information into her two biggest English group chats she had- and the amount of interest and potential participants grew exponentially! I began scheduling 3 weeks out from this. As of date, I have 46 potential participants for my study (this number will obviously go down as I review the requirement and see if they meet them). I am beyond happy with this number. I was expecting 30 potential and that number is growing continuously- and we are only in the 3rd week! The experiment itself has run smoothly and I have had no issues with the setup or retrieving data.

This week I took the time to walk a lot of places. I found more trails and parks to travel to and I am beginning to plan a trip to Berlin one weekend. The train system and major city bus system is a bit intimidating to me as 1) I do not know the language here and 2) I do not know the land or the unspoken rules for the train. Yet, I am getting help with booking a ticket from a professor here. The desserts here are getting the best of me, I have never had a sweet tooth but the icecream/cupcakes/strudels here are my biggest weakness currently. I also have deemed German Mcdonald’s as top tier, lol! Every country I visit I try to eat the universal fast food chain to compare them to one another- so far, Germany takes the top spot! I also had a student buy me a pound block of cheese and bring it to their testing session this week as little welcoming gift. This threw me a little off guard as I am not used to receiving cheese as a gift, especially not blocks of it- but I took it and now have a story to tell. (and it was very nice to eat as well!)
