How is it even possible that the eight weeks are already up? It genuinely feels like just yesterday that we had arrived and were settling in the lab, and on Friday, we moved out:/
I felt like I was in elementary school all over again because I had a picture of me in front of the building on my first day, and then one on my last, which was incredibly bittersweet… I guess it never really set in that this would come to a close. I am headed out Thursday morning and I created a list of things I would like to hit before leaving and I have slowly been ticking them off. Being that tomorrow is my last day here, it hit me that I am already beginning to do a lot of “lasts”.
If you had told me a year ago that I was spending my next summer in Krakow for research, I would have laughed. This past year I changed my major and a lot of things in my life and being able to do this has not only acknowledged that my change was the right one, but that there are so many more opportunities like this that I can take advantage of down the road.
Being able to see everybodys’ individual experiences has been neat because despite us all being in different locations, we are all researching the same umbrella topic. Thank you PIRE for this wonderful opportunity and I’m sure I will be seeing everybody in the fall:)
