First week in Puerto Rico was filled with lots of memories and new experiences. Starting with the day we travelled in two planes, up to Mother’s Day which I luckily got to spend with my mother. The university was bigger than I expected, enough to get lost while putting flyers up in order to recruit participants. I was also, surprisingly contacted by two participants the same day!! We went to Plaza Las Americas mall the same day we arrived to Puerto Rico. Rosa really helped us a lot during those first days, picking us from the airport, taking us to the supermarket, teaching us the faster way to get to college, giving us tips of places we can visit that we might like. She really made the experience more enjoyable and less stressful for us. Throughout the week, we got to travel on the train, eat new types of food, and even go to the beach. I am really happy with how this first week turned out, and I am excited to see what’s coming next!!
