Today marks the 2nd week of our PIRE trip. It feels like it’s been longer than two considering how quickly time passes. With the other researchers, we continued to hand out fliers and promote our study. After we passed some fliers, we worked on managing the data we collected from the first pair of participants. We went over how to transcribe and spent the next couple of hours transcribing our first collection of data. We are now working through the data transcriptions at our own pace. On Friday, we had two more pairs of participants come in for our study. The first one was an early 9 am and then we had another pair come in right after. It was a very productive morning. With another pair coming in tomorrow, I look forward to having more participants contribute to our study. I am excited to watch everything fall into place as we start to gather more data.
Over the weekend, we visited Rotterdam, Netherlands. We walked around and saw the port city. The next day we went to Antwerp in Belgium and stayed overnight. We went to a historical building and enjoyed the view for a bit. The food was delicious as usual. Since Monday was a holiday, we went to Ghent in Belgium and explored the city. Everywhere we went was beautiful. Although it was a lot of walking, it was worth the sights we saw. I look forward to visiting more places during the weekends.
Hi Jihee, it’s really cool that you got to see some new cities! Those photos look absolutely gorgeous, I’m a bit jealous. The three of us in Germany might have to visit the Netherlands at some point since it looks so cool!
