Hi everyone! My second week was full of testing participants. I was all going quite smoothly, but of course not everything can last that way. I have been having an issue with no-shows and cancellations. I still have participants emailing me to schedule, but unfortunately a lot seem to cancel and disappear. While this is unfortunate, I am hopeful that there will be plenty of opportunity within the city for more participants!
As for the social life, two other PIRE fellows from California have been extremely helpful and welcoming. They have showed me around and made sure I am not alone. I have been having a great time, but it is going by rather fast. I am already into my third week here, nearly halfway through my stay. As that makes me sad, I am trying to live in the moment and have a good time.
Here’s to a better week three! <3
Hi Ryley! I’m glad things are mostly going well for you! I know it can sometimes be tough to retain participants, but you still have lots of time to work it out. I also feel like the time is flying by on my trip! I hope you can make the most of what’s left; it looks beautiful there.
Hi Ryley! I’m sorry that you’ve seen so many no-shows and cancellations. I hope that turns around for you soon. Time has been flying by here in San Juan, too, so I get exactly what you mean about the importance of living in the moment. Here’s to week 3!
