This week has been a very productive week for our research. We are finally in the last couple steps of preparing our initial study to be piloted. This is exciting because we will be working with both Dutch bilinguals as well as English monolinguals. Our next step is to have some peers test out the study and gather their thoughts about it.

In addition to this, we have been moving steady to start a new study with Susanne. Our new study involves music and assessing target speech that plays over the music. As of right now we are still trying to pick songs, our objective is to pick a well known song, and a song not as well known by the same artist with similar assets to the first song. Once we complete the selection we will start to manipulate the music and make audio files with the speech playing over it.

This past weekend we went to Amsterdam. Despite the fact the city is only an hour and a half from Nijmegen this was the first time we were able to go! We got to experience a canal tour and saw some historical sites.
