There were some big changes on the research process. Sadly, there was a problem on recruiting participant at the UPR (since it was a vacation season), so it was decided to close my in-person study. I would be helping other one’s recruitment and lab session. However, my online study is processing really great. I’ve collected from 45 mexican participants. That is half of the targeted participant within a week. It seems like Puerto Rican subjects are relatively less than mexican subjects, but I am still feeling hopeful about the study (online).

About the cultural experience this week, I’ve been to a lot of restaurants. Among those, my favorites were Nacho Libre and Ceviche by Totti. All the PIRE students including graduate students gathered at the Nacho Libre on Wednesday. We had a conversation for a while and ordered dishes. I ordered fish taco and chips with guacamole. I’ll be honest. The guacamole was the best guacamole I had and there were more than enough! (which I loved) I would definitely revisit the place. Another place, Ceviche by Totti, is a Peruvian place. (I forgot to take a photo) I ordered chicharon, which is basically fries (commonly pork but I got fish). I was expecting the fish taco without tortillas, but it was more than that. With the salsa, onion, lime, and cilantro around it, I was so fresh. I can’t believe I just have three weeks in Puerto Rico.
