The view of Granada

This week was pretty slow compared to all the previous weeks. It’s finals week here at the university, so many students didn’t have the time to participate in our study. However, because it was a slow week, I was able to code half the data we’ve collected so far. I also started preparing for a presentation I have to give on my project to our whole lab next Wednesday. I am quite nervous about presenting because I am not the best public speaker, but the presentation is only 10 minutes long, so I should be fine.

Alhambra’s insane architecture

Aside from all the coding I did this week, we had a lot of fun visiting the Alhambra and Madrid. The Alhambra was incredible, like nothing I had ever seen before. All the buildings had so much detail, it’s crazy to think how much time went into crafting each structure. There were also mesmerizing views of the city from the Alhambra.

The Bank of Spain – from Money Heist!

Madrid was also a lot of fun, but I wasn’t prepared for how much walking we would do. For all the Money Heist fans reading this blog, we visited the Bank of Spain and the Royal Mint of Spain. Unfortunately, they were not open, so I couldn’t go inside. I’m a huge fan of the show, so it was still cool to see them, even if only from the outside. After that, we went to the Real Madrid soccer stadium, where I found out that the field is divided into six movable sections. These sections are moved below the stadium to maintain the pristine quality of the field.

The Bocadillo (I would rate it a 7.6 out of 10)

Lastly, the new food I tried this week was a bocadillo, which is basically a sandwich. However, the one I tried had fried calamari on it, which is a popular bocadillo in Madrid. I was skeptical at first because I don’t like seafood too much, but I really enjoyed it.

Side note: There is so much more that I did in Madrid and at Alhambra but I didn’t want this post to be five pages long.
