I can’t believe it’s already been 6 weeks in Puerto Rico! I still have a lot of things to do and want to learn here.
As my in-person study had been paused, I am helping other people’s recruitment and study set ups / wrap ups. There were sometimes that the electrodes from the EEG is not working properly, but overall I think it is getting better as we go through the sessions. Along with that, the online study’s data looks great. Since it is online, there are more participant data that I can collect in shorter period. However, I am still having hard time recruiting Puerto Rican even on the online. I might plan to recruit people to sign up the online study as well.
Speaking of the life in Puerto Rico, on Wednesday, there was a black out. We were at the living room watching TV, and suddenly, everything just turned black. I watched outside, and everything was black as well. (mostly) Since there was no electricity, There was no A/C avialble, refrigerator is not working, and even worse, we did not have no idea when the electricity would work normally. For few hours, we were just chatting seating on the couch. And then at one point, I laid on the floor, and realized that it is so cool since it is a marble tile. After that, every laid on the floor and we sang. I know it is so random, but it was so joyous mood. After that, I fell asleep, and around 1:30 in the morning, the electricity came back. I would not forget the night.
