I can’t believe it’s already been 6 weeks in this beautiful city!
This week was quite wonderful, particularly because my mom came to visit! I got to show her some of my favorite spots in the Netherlands, and we took a weekend trip to Amsterdam.
Additionally, my research partner and I did a presentation of our work in front of the linguistics lab here at Radboud University. The linguistics lab consisted of PhD students, as well as professors in the department. They offered us some excellent points, and found our study to be quite interesting! We were extremely excited and proud of the work we had put into both this presentation and the study itself.
On Wednesday and Thursday, I attended some workshops within the MEDAL program here at Radboud. This is a program that focuses on linguistics research, and Radboud houses students from across the world on campus! I attended one workshop that explained how to design sign language studies, and another workshop that utilized Virtual Reality headsets in linguistics experiments! They were both phenomenal.
I am reluctant to complete the upcoming blogs, for it means that our time here is coming to a close. Though this is true, I am going to soak in every remaining moment here, and not take a second for granted!
