Final week in nijmegen , feeling both happy and sad about it but overall very grateful. We had our last few participants this week , and even though we didn’t meet the amount of participants we wanted, we still got more than what we expected with the year ending. We had our last meeting with our supervisor in Radboud, Susanne. She was definitely the best ! Will definitely miss her and hopefully she comes to Penn State to a conference and we have the chance to meet her again.
We also visited our penn state’s supervisors , Janet, house in the Netherlands. She lives about an hour away from nijmegen, she came to pick us up at the station dn took us to her house. She lives in a big land with both her sister and dad neighboring her house, and she just finished building her house this year and it’s so beautiful. We went on a walk around the lake that surrounds her neighbor and then she cooked an amazing dinner.
We met up with madison and perry one final time on friday to enjoy our last living together in nijmegen aspire fellows and loved it so much ! especially since we hadn’t seen both of them for a few days since her families were in town.
This experience is definitely one for the book. I will never forget it, especially because I am leaving with a new perspective and overall a different me. Nijmegen definitely changed me in a positive way.
