I think I have finally figured out the easiest way (for my participants and me!) to schedule in different time zones, with busy people. Using a site called when2meet, I am having my participants input the times they are available on a few specific days. I have had 3 people use the site already, with no problems and I am planning on scheduling my first session early next week! As Sunny mentioned in her blog, it has been a bit of a challenge keeping the balance between the bilingual participants (English-Spanish and Spanish-English for me and English-Chinese and Chinese-English for Sunny) but I know we will get there soon.
There have been a few hiccups this week, but nothing that has set me back more than an email or 2. I am excited to keep pushing on, and collect data very soon!
Words of the week: Wifi, Double-Check, when2meet
When2meet is certainly a useful website, I’m glad you’ve made good use of it! Good luck with your upcoming data collection!!
Hi Lily, I am glad that you found the when2meet.com helpful for scheduling experiments for participants in different time zones! I think I will try that as well one I get English-Chinese participants. And definitely balancing our bilingual participants is not easy, I hope those Spanish-English and Chinese-English bilinguals won’t wait too long until get to their experiment. Best luck to your first ever session next week!!
